Alula: The AlUla Trail Race 2026 concluded on Friday with wide participation from runners of various ages and skill levels from within the Kingdom and abroad, highlighting AlUla Governorate's growing status as one of the world's leading destinations for endurance and challenge sports.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the event was part of the international sports calendar and attracted both professional and amateur runners. Competitors challenged themselves across diverse routes that showcased AlUla's natural and historical landmarks, reflecting the region's varied geographical landscape by combining exploration with physical endurance tests.
The 2026 edition of the race featured several categories, including the demanding 100-kilometer race, a 50-kilometer race that passed through the old town and distinctive natural trails, the 23-kilometer Elephant Rock Trail race, and the 10-kilometer AlUla Oasis race for the general category.
In addition to these, the event included races for younger age groups, such as the Sunset Run for children aged 5 to 12, a 1.6-kilometer children's race, and a 3-kilometer race for participants aged 13 and above. These races aimed to promote community participation and encourage a culture of sports across all age groups.
The race concluded with an awards ceremony, where winners were honored with medals and prizes.
