Non-Profit Sector in Madinah Region Expands Rapidly Under Vision 2030

Madinah: The non-profit sector in Madinah Region is rapidly growing, reinforcing its developmental role and aligning with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to enhance the sector's contribution to the national economy and strengthen institutional capacity.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the sector comprises 441 entities, including 357 civil society associations, 19 grant-making foundations, and 64 charitable funds, 16 of which are development-oriented. Since 2017, the sector has achieved a growth rate of 317%, reflecting its dynamism, institutional expansion, and growing capacity to deliver impactful services and programs across the region.

Approximately 425,000 volunteers participate in the sector's activities, with charitable associations maintaining an average governance rate of 83.7%. These figures reflect a strong commitment to professional standards and transparency in resource management, highlighting the sector's sustainable contribution to social development across diverse areas of society.
