Makkah: The General Transport Center in Makkah announced that the transport system in the holy capital transported more than 31 million beneficiaries during the first third of Ramadan 1447 AH through the shuttle transport service to the Grand Mosque and the Makkah bus network, as part of operational efforts to organize movement and facilitate the mobility of residents, visitors, and Umrah performers heading to the Grand Mosque.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the center noted that the shuttle transport service to and from the Grand Mosque transported more than 31 million beneficiaries through over 700,000 operational trips with the participation of more than 2,300 buses, contributing to enhancing traffic flow in the central area and facilitating access to the Grand Mosque, particularly during the peak times witnessed during Ramadan.

This operational performance comes amid ongoing coordination among relevant authorities to manage movement during the Ramadan season, in line with the increasing crowds witnessed in Makkah, thereby contributing to a smoother mobility experience for Umrah performers and the city's residents.
