Jeddah: Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah and Minister of Investment Fahad Al-Saif engaged in the Saudi-Swiss Investment Roundtable Meeting in Jeddah with Swiss Confederation President Guy Parmelin in attendance. This meeting also saw participation from Helene Budliger Artieda, the State Secretary for Economic Affairs of the Swiss Confederation, alongside numerous officials and business leaders from both nations.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting focused on reviewing joint investment opportunities and discussing strategies to enhance economic cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Switzerland. Participants also explored the development of partnerships in key sectors to support economic growth and improve bilateral relations.
The roundtable took place during the Swiss Confederation President's official visit to Saudi Arabia, marking 70 years of diplomatic relations between the two nations. These longstanding connections have facilitated collaboration and fostered a partnership centered on mutual respect and shared interests.
Concluding the meeting, an agreement was signed aimed at promoting and protecting investments between Saudi Arabia and Switzerland. The agreement, signed by Minister Fahad Al-Saif and President Guy Parmelin, seeks to enhance and stabilize the investment environment, safeguard investors' rights, and encourage the flow of mutual investments between the countries.
The event was also attended by Abdulrahman Aldawood, the Saudi Ambassador to the Swiss Confederation and the Principality of Liechtenstein.
