Supported by KSrelief, Emergency Cholera Response Project in Yemen Delivers Services to 7,155 Individuals

Yemen: The Emergency Response Project for Combating Cholera in Yemen, supported by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), provided medical services to 7,155 individuals during the period from April 15 to 21, 2026.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the project targets areas most affected by the epidemic and aims to reduce infection rates and curb the spread of cholera through preventive measures. These include deploying specialized medical teams to examine and monitor travelers at air and land ports and supporting healthcare facilities with medical supplies for cholera treatment, including intravenous and oral rehydration solutions, antibiotics, protective equipment, and sterilization materials.

The project also seeks to expand bed capacity at cholera treatment centers to accommodate the increasing number of cases.

These efforts are an extension of the humanitarian and relief role carried out by the Kingdom, represented by KSrelief, in supporting Yemen's healthcare sector and limiting the spread of epidemics and infectious diseases to safeguard public health.
