Municipalities Minister Holds Bilateral Meetings During World Urban Forum in Baku

Baku: Minister of Municipalities and Housing Majed Al-Hogail held several bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the 13th World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku, Azerbaijan, to enhance international cooperation and exchange expertise in urban development and sustainable housing.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Al-Hogail met with Egyptian Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities Randa El-Menshawy. They discussed strengthening cooperation in housing and urban development and empowering the private sector to help achieve both countries' aspirations for more vibrant, higher-quality cities.

Al-Hogail also held discussions with Turkish Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum. Their meeting focused on opportunities to enhance cooperation in urban development, housing, and smart cities.

Within the framework of Gulf integration in the housing sector, Al-Hogail met with Bahraini Minister of Housing and Urban Planning Amna bint Ahmed Al Rumaihi. They explored opportunities for cooperation, the exchange of expertise, and the alignment of developmental visions between the two countries.

Additionally, he met with Executive Director of the United Nations Human Settlements Program (UN-Habitat) Anacl¡udia Rossbach. This meeting reviewed the Kingdom's achievements in urban and housing development and discussed opportunities to enhance cooperation in sustainable cities and urban innovation.
