Saudi Red Crescent Prepares Extensive Emergency Plan for 1447 AH Hajj

Makkah: The Saudi Red Crescent Authority has announced its comprehensive operational readiness for the 1447 AH Hajj season by implementing an all-encompassing emergency medical system. This system is operational 24/7 and is bolstered by skilled personnel, cutting-edge technologies, and a widespread field deployment across the holy sites and access routes.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the initiative aims to enhance the speed of response and improve the efficiency of managing emergency cases. The authority has been coordinating with health, service, and security entities to deliver emergency medical services to pilgrims, adhering to the highest operational standards. This involves mobilizing both human and technical resources to ensure the preparedness of field teams throughout the Hajj season.

The Saudi Red Crescent Authority reported the deployment of over 7,700 emergency personnel and the establishment of more than 500 emergency points across the holy sites. Additionally, more than 1,000 male and female volunteers are participating in supportive field teams. The operations are further strengthened by a fleet of over 3,000 ambulances and support vehicles, alongside 11 air ambulances strategically positioned at helipads in Makkah and the holy sites. These measures are designed to expedite emergency interventions and facilitate the medical evacuation of critical cases.
