Islamabad: Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif announced today that the United States and Iran had reached a peace agreement following intensive talks.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the announcement was made in a post on X by Sharif. He stated, "After intensive talks, we are pleased to announce that a peace agreement has been reached between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran. Both parties have announced the immediate and permanent end of military operations on all fronts, including in Lebanon."
Sharif also mentioned that the official signing ceremony is scheduled to occur on Friday, June 19, in Switzerland.
The prime minister expressed gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the State of Qatar, and the Republic of Trkiye for their significant contributions to the peace agreement.
