Housing Minister Leads Saudi Delegation to UN High-Level Meeting on New Urban Agenda

New york city: Minister of Municipalities and Housing Majed Al-Hogail began a visit to New York City on Sunday, where he is leading the Saudi delegation to the High-level Meeting of the United Nations General Assembly on the New Urban Agenda at the UN headquarters.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting serves as the midterm review of the implementation of the New Urban Agenda. Saudi Arabia's participation reflects its active engagement in international forums on sustainable development. It provides an opportunity to showcase the progress it has made in urban development in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

It also highlights the transformation of Saudi cities through enhanced urban infrastructure efficiency, improved quality of life, more advanced urban environments, and the development of more sustainable cities capable of supporting economic growth.

The Kingdom's participation also affirms its commitment to the international sustainable development agenda and its continued contribution to global efforts to build sustainable cities, exchange knowledge and expertise, and showcase the Saudi model of urban development as a leading example that combines long-term planning, economic development, and improved quality of life.
