Northern Border University Surpasses 9,000 Research Papers in Web of Science

Riyadh: Northern Border University has achieved a scientific milestone by surpassing 9,000 research papers indexed in the Web of Science database, a Clarivate service. This achievement reflects the university's continued growth in its scientific research system and strengthens its presence in global databases.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the university said the total number of published research papers has reached 9,055, with 83,604 citations, reflecting the quality of its research output and its scientific impact at both the regional and international levels. It also noted a significant increase in scientific publications during the second quarter of 2026, with 1,236 research papers published since the beginning of the year. This growth reflects the rising pace of scientific production, support for a research and innovation environment, and encouragement of faculty members and researchers to contribute to knowledge creation.

The university added that this outstanding achievement comes as an extension of its efforts to develop the scientific research system and raise the quality of publication in prestigious scientific journals, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, which aim to enhance the competitiveness of Saudi universities, support innovation and the knowledge economy, and consolidate the Kingdom's position in global scientific research indicators.
