Interior Minister Holds Official Talks with Spanish Counterpart, Signs Comprehensive Training Document

Riyadh: Minister of Interior Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud bin Naif bin Abdulaziz held an official session of talks today with Minister of Interior of the Kingdom of Spain Fernando Grande-Marlaska Gomez in Madrid.

According to Saudi Press Agency, at the outset of the talks, Prince Abdulaziz bin Saud highlighted the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, emphasizing the importance of strengthening security cooperation with Spain to serve the common interests of both nations.

The talks focused on enhancing bilateral relations, boosting security cooperation, and coordination between the two ministries. Key topics discussed included combating various forms of crime, tracking perpetrators, countering drug trafficking and money laundering networks, fighting terrorism and extremism, exchanging expertise, and developing the capacities of specialists from both nations.

Following the discussions, the two ministers signed the Comprehensive Training Document, designed to foster expertise exchange, develop capacities, and support training and qualification programs between the two countries' interior ministries.

The talks and the signing ceremony witnessed the presence of several officials from both sides, underscoring the commitment to deepening ties and collaboration.
