Riyadh: A World Bank report prepared in cooperation with the National eLearning Center highlighted the contributions of the National Institute for Educational Professional Development to the Kingdom's artificial intelligence (AI) in education ecosystem through the center's AI Sandbox initiative, focusing on its role in developing teachers' and school leaders' professional capabilities and supporting responsible AI use.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the report referenced the summer program "Employing AI in Digital Education," implemented jointly by the National eLearning Center and the National Institute for Educational Professional Development, aimed at enabling teachers to effectively and responsibly integrate AI applications into educational practices.
The report also included the institute among key entities in the AI governance framework alongside the Ministry of Education, the Education and Training Evaluation Commission, and the National Curriculum Center, underscoring the institute's role in enhancing the quality of AI implementation and sustaining professional development in the education sector.
