Yemeni Prime Minister Acknowledges SDRPY’s Role in Yemen’s Development

Riyadh: Yemeni Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Shaya Zindani received Director of the Saudi Development and Reconstruction Program for Yemen (SDRPY) office in Aden, Eng. Ahmed Madkhali. The meeting took place today in Aden, where Zindani expressed gratitude for Saudi Arabia's ongoing support, acknowledging SDRPY as a crucial partner in advancing Yemen's development priorities and aiding the economic recovery.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Madkhali outlined SDRPY's initiatives in Aden and other regions, focusing on projects such as the provision of oil derivatives by Saudi Arabia to sustain over 70 power generation plants across Yemen. SDRPY has been instrumental in executing 300 development projects and initiatives, spanning various stages of completion, across eight critical sectors: education, health, transport, water, energy, agriculture and fisheries, development programs, and capacity building for government institutions.
