Riyadh: The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center's (KSrelief) Masam Project for Clearing Landmines in Yemen has successfully removed 1,367 mines from various parts of the country during the fourth week of July 2026. This effort included the removal of 73 anti-tank mines, 13 anti-personnel mines, 1,275 unexploded ordnance items, and six explosive devices.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the number of mines removed since the beginning of July has reached 5,653. Since the inception of the Masam Project, a total of 576,778 mines have been cleared. These mines, indiscriminately planted across Yemen, have posed significant threats to civilians, particularly endangering the lives of children, women, and the elderly, and have instilled fear among the population.

Saudi Arabia, through KSrelief, is continuing its vital work to eliminate landmines under the Masam Project. This initiative aims to improve safety for civilians and assist the Yemeni people in living with dignity and security.
