Qassim Center Trains Saudi Youth for Date Harvest Season

Riyadh: The Qassim Agricultural Training Center, in cooperation with the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, and the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, has implemented the second phase of the region's date harvesting training program. This initiative, launched by the governor of Qassim, aims to qualify national cadres to work in the date palm sector using best agricultural practices. It focuses on empowering Saudi youth with seasonal skills to improve harvest quality and boost market competitiveness.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the program supports job localization and regional investment opportunities. It has attracted over 200 registered participants from Buraidah and nearby governorates, with more than 70 trainees successfully completing the second phase. The initiative is part of a broader effort to enhance the agricultural sector's efficiency and sustainability, while also providing employment opportunities for local youth.
