The event, which ran from August 23 to 27, 2026, took place at various locations including the SMEs Support Centers in Riyadh, Jeddah, Madinah, and Al-Khobar, as well as the Work Corner incubator in the Aseer Region. The initiative was also held at the Qassim Chamber and Tabuk Chamber headquarters, and featured virtual meetings in collaboration with the Al-Baha Chamber. The primary goal was to enhance integration with government agencies and services that support exports, and to showcase prominent investment opportunities within the sector.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Export Week attracted over 1,600 participants and featured more than 20 exhibitors. The program consisted of eight main sessions, over 60 entrepreneurial meetings, and approximately 650 consultative sessions, with participation from over 40 entities. The event aimed to prepare small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) for expansion beyond local markets by connecting them with entrepreneurs and entities from both government and private sectors within the export ecosystem. Participants were introduced to export requirements, financing and logistical solutions, and available opportunities in global markets. The event also aimed to facilitate direct communication with supporting organizations, explore new markets, and build business relationships to enhance the international competitiveness of Saudi products and services.

In the opening session, Vice Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources for Industrial Affairs Khalil bin Salamah emphasized the export sector as a key driver of the national economy's growth. He highlighted the importance of understanding target markets, customer needs, and requirements, and encouraged leveraging technology and developing production lines to boost the competitiveness of local products and improve their readiness for global markets.
