Riyadh: The Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) on Thursday honored more than 20 companies that received AI ethics badges in recognition of their commitment to ethical and regulatory practices in developing and delivering AI products and services. According to Saudi Press Agency, the recognition took place on the third day of the fourth UNESCO Global Forum on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence (GFEAI 2026) in Riyadh, as part of efforts to promote the adoption of responsible AI and embed its principles across various sectors. The AI badges aim to strengthen commitment to AI ethics, assess the maturity of practices in the field, promote transparency and reliability, reduce risks, and encourage best practices. They are awarded across five progressive levels: Aware, Adoptive, Conformative, Assured, and Visionary. The recognition strengthens the private sector's role in developing responsible, reliable AI solutions that support compliance with ethical and regulatory principles and help build a safe, sustaina ble digital ecosystem. GFEAI 2026 continued its third and final day with broad international participation from decision-makers, experts, and researchers. Discussions focused on ways to move AI ethics from principles to practical and measurable practices and governance.
