Cairo: The Arab Parliament affirmed that serving the Arabic language is neither a cultural luxury nor a responsibility resting solely with specialists. Rather, it is a shared Arab responsibility linked to the future of the Arab world, its capacity to generate knowledge, and its active participation in human civilization.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Arab Parliament emphasized that Arabic is not merely a vessel for heritage but also a tool for creating knowledge, a bridge for dialogue with the world, and an integral component of Arab identity and culture. Speaker of the Arab Parliament, Mohammed Al-Yamahi, made these remarks during a speech at the award ceremony for the second edition of the Abdulaziz Saud Al-Babtain Award for Creativity in the Service of the Arabic Language. The event took place at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States in Cairo.

The ceremony was attended by prominent figures, including the Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Nabil Fahmy, and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Abdulaziz Saud Al-Babtain Cultural Foundation, Saud Abdulaziz Al-Babtain. Al-Yamahi highlighted that the gathering reflected a shared conviction that the Arabic language is a tool for knowledge creation and a bridge for dialogue with the world.

He further affirmed that the partnership between the Arab Parliament and the Abdulaziz Saud Al-Babtain Cultural Foundation in launching the award embodies a collective belief that serving the Arabic language is a collective Arab responsibility. This effort is closely linked to the Arab world's future and its standing in the global arena.
