Doha: The State of Qatar strongly condemned the targeting of Taif Governorate in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia by a drone launched by the Houthi militia, which resulted in the death of one person and injuries to two others after shrapnel fell when the drone was intercepted, in addition to material damage to a number of buildings and vehicles. According to Saudi Press Agency, in a statement issued today, the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed that these attacks constitute reprehensible aggressive conduct, a deplorable disregard for the lives of civilians, a blatant violation of the Kingdom's sovereignty, and a clear breach of international law. The ministry renewed Qatar's full solidarity with the Kingdom and affirmed its support for all legitimate measures it takes to safeguard its sovereignty, security, territorial integrity, and interests. It stressed that the Kingdom's security is an integral part of Qatar's security and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states' collective security system. The m inistry expressed Qatar's condolences to the family of the deceased and wished the injured a speedy recovery, praying to Allah Almighty to protect the Kingdom and its brotherly people from all harm.
