Madinah:The International Conference on Saudi Arabia's Efforts to Counter Intellectual Deviations commenced on Sunday, drawing together prominent scholars, specialists, and researchers at the King Salman International Convention Center.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the event is organized by the Islamic University of Madinah and aims to highlight Saudi Arabia's strategies in addressing intellectual deviations. The opening session, chaired by Dr. Sulayman Al-Ruhayli, focused on the role of Islamic creed (Aqidah) in preventing such deviations and in safeguarding individuals and society from extremist ideas.

The discussions during the session centered on the impact of a sound Islamic creed in promoting intellectual awareness, the foundations of Islam in safeguarding thought, and the importance of strengthening religious beliefs to counteract extremism. The conference also underscores Saudi Arabia's initiatives to promote the Sunnah, emphasizing their influence on public awareness and the role of creed in fostering balanced personalities.

This two-day event, which includes an exhibition, aims to showcase Saudi Arabia's efforts in promoting moderation and balance, as well as its commitment to fostering a culture of dialogue and tolerance. Participants include a distinguished group of scholars and specialists who present national experiences and initiatives designed to prevent and address intellectual deviations.
