Riyadh:The Saudi Red Sea Authority (SRSA) is laying the groundwork for enhanced coastal experiences as part of World Tourism Day, celebrated on September 27 under the theme "Digital Agenda and Artificial Intelligence to Redesign Tourism."

According to Saudi Press Agency, the SRSA has issued seven regulations and four technical codes, alongside various requirements and conditions, to provide operators and investors with a clearer framework for developing coastal tourism infrastructure. These measures aim to connect regulatory frameworks with practical applications, ensuring that activities can be established and operated effectively.

Efforts to simplify procedures have been digitized through the RSA, a unified coastal tourism platform. This platform allows users to apply for and manage licenses and permits, track applications, and review requirements while facilitating interaction with relevant authorities. Such digitization helps streamline the steps necessary for service providers to prepare for incoming visitors.

The SRSA has collaborated with the General Authority for Survey and Geospatial Information to create detailed maps defining the geographical scope of activities, ensuring that the marine environment is protected. This collaboration with environmental bodies and other authorities emphasizes the importance of spatial information and environmental requirements in preparing visitor experiences.

By aligning technology with regulation and environmental care, the SRSA ensures that the natural appeal of the Red Sea can be responsibly enjoyed by visitors. The integration of clear procedures and services, facilitated by technology, enhances the overall coastal tourism experience.
