Saudi Arabia Engages in GCC Anti-Corruption Meeting in Bahrain

Riyadh:Saudi Arabia participated in the 12th meeting of the Anti-Corruption Ministerial Committee of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, held in the Kingdom of Bahrain. The Saudi delegation was led by Mazin bin Ibrahim Al-Kahmous, President of the Oversight and Anti-Corruption Authority, known as 'Nazaha.'

According to Saudi Press Agency, Al-Kahmous delivered a speech on behalf of Saudi Arabia, expressing gratitude to the current GCC presidency, represented by Bahrain's Ministry of Interior, for its efforts and hospitality. He also acknowledged the GCC General Secretariat for its role in the success of the committee's work this year.

He praised the contributions of the GCC countries and the General Secretariat in achieving the outcomes of the current term and supporting the committee's work. Al-Kahmous expressed hope that the meeting would achieve objectives aligned with the GCC leaders' aspirations to enhance coordination and integration in combating corruption, promoting integrity, transparency, and accountability.

Saudi Arabia's involvement in the meeting underscores its commitment to cooperation and information exchange among GCC nations to protect integrity and fight corruption. This effort aligns with Saudi Vision 2030, emphasizing governance, transparency, accountability, and anti-corruption as critical pillars.

The meeting's agenda included discussions on strengthening cooperation and partnerships among GCC bodies responsible for protecting integrity and combating corruption, along with related recommendations and outcomes.
