Recommendations Highlighted at Conference on Countering Intellectual Deviations

Madinah:The Islamic University of Madinah recently concluded an International Conference focused on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's efforts to counter intellectual deviations, resulting in the issuance of 31 recommendations and proposals.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the conference's recommendations emphasize the use of artificial intelligence to monitor ideological trends and the development of national indicators to measure various forms of intellectual deviance. It also proposed creating a unified database for specialized research and exploring a digital system for proactively detecting threats to intellectual security.

Further recommendations include curriculum development, enhancing scientific research, and forming institutional partnerships to increase intellectual awareness. The conference stressed the importance of fostering awareness and positive thinking among youth, developing critical thinking skills, and promoting activities such as dialogue sessions and volunteer work related to digital intellectual security.

The event also advocated for strengthening the presence of sound religious content online, raising awareness about the risks of distributing fatwas out of context, and ensuring the verification of religious rulings.

During the conference, nine dialogue sessions took place. Over 130 research papers were submitted from various regions, with 56 being accepted after peer review and subsequently published in the conference's scientific proceedings.
