TGA Extends Heavy Goods Transport Contracts Until March 2027

Riyadh:The Transport General Authority (TGA) has announced a six-month extension for establishments licensed in commercial heavy goods transport. This extension allows these businesses to transport goods they do not own until March 26, 2027, which aims to support sector flexibility and improve road transport fleet efficiency.

According to Saudi Press Agency, The TGA explained that this extension will help establishments maximize their operational capabilities, allowing for greater flexibility in transport operations and better responsiveness to market demands.

The authority emphasized that to benefit from this extension, a transport document must be issued for each shipment according to approved regulatory requirements. This measure is intended to document transport operations, regulate relationships among involved parties, and enhance reliability and transparency in the sector.

The authority highlighted that this extension is part of a series of regulatory actions designed to boost the readiness of the heavy transport sector. It also aims to improve the efficiency of the existing fleet, thereby supporting supply chain stability and addressing the goods transport needs within the Kingdom.
