Deputy Governor of Makkah Chairs Key Hajj and Umrah Planning Meeting

Makkah:Deputy Governor of Makkah Region Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz led the Permanent Committee for Hajj and Umrah meeting, where discussions centered on the current Umrah season and preparations for the upcoming Hajj season (1448 AH).

According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting, directed by Prince Khalid bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of Makkah Region, involved reviewing services provided to visitors of the Grand Mosque. The committee assessed reports on the status of Umrah performers, covering their journey from arrival to departure through various entry points.

The meeting also examined the performance of government entities in last year's Hajj and emphasized the importance of integrating efforts among various sectors. Effective coordination and resources provided by the Kingdom's leadership were highlighted as key to the success of the past Hajj season.

In addition, the committee evaluated performance indicators for participating entities and discussed mechanisms to enhance coordination and readiness. Several agenda items were addressed, resulting in the adoption of necessary recommendations.
