Madinah:The Madinah Buses public transport project is set to enhance its network with the launch of a new route and additional bus stops starting tomorrow. This expansion aims to improve the transport experience and serve key locations throughout the city, increasing the network to 16 routes with 476 stops and boosting the number of daily trips on existing routes.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the Madinah Buses network connects numerous neighborhoods, important destinations, and major services, including direct transport options to the Prophet's Mosque, Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport, and the Haramain High Speed Railway. It also serves various mosques, landmarks, health, educational, and service facilities, as well as residential areas.
The project is supervised by the Madinah Region Development Authority and emphasizes diversifying connections between routes to facilitate travel across different destinations. The network forms an integrated transport system with access points linking religious landmarks, service destinations, and residential neighborhoods, thereby expanding mobility options within Madinah.
