King Saud University Enhances International Student Experience with Comprehensive Model

Riyadh:King Saud University has released its annual report for the 1447 AH (2025-2026) academic year, focusing on the international student experience. The report highlights the university's efforts to support a diverse student body, which includes 4,123 students from 97 different nationalities, making up about 6% of the total student population.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the university's International Students Department provided 22,141 services and transactions and monitored 724 special cases as part of a comprehensive system designed to manage the entire international student journey.

The report details various aspects of this journey, including academic and service support, as well as the implementation of cultural, social, volunteer, and professional programs. Additionally, the department organized alumni and intercultural communication programs, alongside initiatives for Hajj, Umrah, and other visits.

In its pursuit of institutional development, the department began ISO 9001 qualification processes to adopt a systematic approach, emphasizing documented procedures, performance measurement, risk management, and continuous improvement. This initiative aims to transition from quality in practice to measurable and sustainable institutional quality.

Furthermore, the department aims to transform graduation from the end of the academic relationship into the start of a sustainable global network. By strengthening ties with international alumni, the university seeks to leverage their success stories and expertise, fostering lasting connections after students return to their home countries. This strategy enhances King Saud University's international presence and extends its influence through a global network of knowledgeable and skilled alumni.
