Saudi Arabia to Regularize Residency Status of Yemeni Nationals

Riyadh:The Ministry of Interior in Saudi Arabia announced plans to regularize the residency status of Yemeni nationals living irregularly in the Kingdom. This initiative follows directives from King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and a request from Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the initiative involves collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, and the Saudi Data and AI Authority. This effort reflects Saudi Arabia's ongoing support for the Yemeni people.

The Ministry of Interior emphasized that Yemeni nationals must possess a valid Yemeni passport to qualify for legal status regularization. The start date and detailed regulations will be communicated through official channels, including the General Directorate of Passports.
