Qassim:Qassim University, in collaboration with the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), held a lecture focusing on Saudi Arabia's leadership in international humanitarian and relief work. The event was organized by the university's Intellectual Awareness Unit.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the lecture was presented by Dr. Samer Al-Jutaili, Advisor, Director of the Resources and Investment Department, and Official Spokesperson of KSrelief. It was attended by students at the university's main campus.
Dr. Al-Jutaili reviewed Saudi Arabia's extensive humanitarian and relief efforts over the past 40 years, highlighting the more than $145 billion in aid provided to 173 countries. He also discussed KSrelief's contributions since its inception, which have reached 113 countries with projects costing approximately $8.5 billion.
The lecture also covered key initiatives and specialized projects led by Saudi Arabia in sectors such as health, education, and food security. Notably, Dr. Al-Jutaili mentioned the overseas volunteer programs and specialized medical projects conducted by Saudi teams, including complex surgical procedures like open-heart surgeries and cochlear implants.
