Riyadh:The King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) and the Ministry of Education have announced the end of the registration phase for the first National Gifted Olympiad. This competition is the largest of its kind in the Kingdom, targeting middle and high school students with a focus on identifying and nurturing local talent. The initiative aligns with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, preparing students for both local and international competitions.
According to Saudi Press Agency, a total of 444,134 students from 10,932 schools across Saudi Arabia have registered for the olympiad. The competition is divided into two main tracks: 100,095 students signed up for the Scientific Track (NSMO), while 344,039 opted for the Research Track (Ibdaa). This broad participation underscores the event's significance in the national science competition landscape.
Following registration, students will enter the qualification stages of the National Gifted Olympiad. These stages are designed to evaluate their capabilities, enhance their skills, and prepare them for the competition's advanced phases. The process will culminate in central assessments and exhibitions leading up to the olympiad finals.
