Arabic Calligraphy Showcased at Frankfurt Book Fair 2026

Frankfurt:The Prince Mohammed bin Salman Global Center for Arabic Calligraphy (Dar Al-Qalam) in Madinah is taking part in the Saudi pavilion at the Frankfurt Book Fair 2026 in Germany, from October 7 to 11. This pavilion is organized and supervised by the Literature, Publishing and Translation Commission.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the center is presenting its significant achievements and initiatives in the fields of teaching and developing Arabic calligraphy. This includes various training and cultural programs and international engagements. The goal is to preserve the art of Arabic calligraphy, enhance the skills of practitioners and enthusiasts, and increase its presence both locally and globally. Additionally, the center aims to showcase the artistic and civilizational value of Arabic calligraphy as a core component of Arab cultural identity at international cultural events.

An interactive section dedicated to Arabic calligraphy has been set up by the center, offering visitors the opportunity to explore the aesthetics of Arabic letters and writing techniques. This section provides a cultural and artistic experience, highlighting the diversity of Arabic calligraphy schools. It encourages interaction with international audiences and introduces them to Arabic calligraphy as an art form that merges authenticity with creativity.

The participation in the Frankfurt Book Fair is part of the center's broader efforts to foster cultural communication, promote knowledge and artistic exchange, and strengthen Saudi Arabia's position as a leader in supporting and developing Arabic calligraphy.
