Saudi Ambassador Opens ‘Voices of the Ocean’ Event at Library of Congress

Washington:Saudi Ambassador to the United States and Founder of the "Wave" initiative, Princess Reema bint Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, opened the "Voices of the Ocean" event at the Library of Congress. The event saw the participation of over 300 leaders, scientists, and innovators in the fields of environment, science, and ocean conservation.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Princess Reema emphasized the necessity of uniting scientific and community efforts to protect oceans and restore their ecosystems. She underscored the importance of using knowledge and data to support joint actions, enhance understanding of marine life, and build a sustainable future for oceans.

The event, organized by the Wave initiative in partnership with Conservation Nation, presented an unprecedented collection of audio recordings of fish to the Library of Congress. This initiative supports scientific research related to marine life and reinforces ocean conservation efforts for future generations.

The Wave initiative aims to back international efforts for environmental restoration, ocean and sea conservation, and the restoration of their balance and sustainability.
