Paris:The GCC Standardization Organization (GSO), under the leadership of President Eng. Jabor Al-Naimi, participated in the ISO Annual Meeting 2026. The event took place in Paris from September 28 to October 2, focusing on the theme "Building Trust in a Changing World."

According to Saudi Press Agency, the GSO engaged in various meetings and sessions that covered important standardization issues and emerging trends. Discussions included the role of standards in promoting trade, fostering innovation, supporting sustainable development, enabling technological transformation, and enhancing market confidence.

Additionally, the GSO took part in a regional forum aimed at Arab and African countries, which concentrated on sharing best practices and enhancing regional cooperation in standardization.

On the sidelines of the meeting, the GSO signed a memorandum of understanding with the Jordan Standards and Metrology Organization. This agreement is intended to strengthen collaboration in standardization and quality, eliminate technical trade barriers, and enhance commercial ties between the GSO member states and Jordan.
