Jazan:The 2026 National Greening Season in the Jazan Region commenced on Sunday, focusing on enhancing vegetation cover, promoting environmental sustainability, and fostering community involvement in afforestation and conservation initiatives. This endeavor aligns with the objectives of the Saudi Green Initiative and Saudi Vision 2030.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the season, now in its third edition, aims to instill a culture of tree planting across all societal segments. It emphasizes strengthening community responsibility for natural resources and expanding green spaces to improve the quality of life and ensure the ongoing practice of tree care and preservation for future generations.

Building on national efforts, the season supports afforestation projects in the region and aims to maintain the achievements made so far. Since 2021, around 28 million trees have been planted in Jazan, illustrating the commitment to expanding vegetation cover in the area.
