Riyadh:The King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) has introduced a remote option for the Mawhiba Multiple Cognitive Aptitude Test (MMCAT) for the first time as part of the National Program for Gifted Identification.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the program is implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Education and the Education and Training Evaluation Commission (ETEC), specifically the National Center for Assessment (Qiyas). The remote test is available to Level three students in the third intermediate and first secondary grades through the Sadeed platform, specifically for those opting to take the test in Arabic.
This initiative aims to expand access to gifted identification services and provide more testing options, enabling more students to discover their abilities and participate in Mawhiba's talent development programs. Mawhiba encourages students across Saudi Arabia with exceptional abilities to register for the 17th edition of the National Program for Gifted Identification, with registration open until December 28.
The program targets students from the third grade of primary school through the first secondary grade, assessing their academic abilities and skills in areas such as language, mathematics, science, and creativity. In-person testing remains available in both Arabic and English at over 100 computer-based testing centers operated by Qiyas across Saudi Arabia.
The MMCAT evaluates students in four main areas mathematical and spatial reasoning, scientific and mechanical reasoning, mental flexibility, and linguistic reasoning and reading comprehension. Since its inception in 2011, the program has identified over 278,000 gifted students, with more than 776,000 students having participated in the test.
