Digital Tools Enhance Worship Experience at Grand Mosque

Mecca:Digital services at the Grand Mosque now allow worshippers to monitor crowd density in the Tawaf and Sa'i areas. These services provide live displays, real-time updates, and indicators highlighting less crowded times, thus facilitating easier movement and worship.

According to Saudi Press Agency, an interactive map of the Two Holy Mosques has been introduced. This map enables visitors to explore notable landmarks, facilities, locations, and routes, thereby improving navigation and the overall visitor experience. It includes approximately 950 points of interest such as the Holy Kaaba, Maqam Ibrahim, Safa and Marwa, Al-Rawdah Al-Sharifah, the Prophet's Chamber, prayer niches, and the Prophet's Pulpit.

The platform offers over 100,000 potential routes, categorized into more than 17 different types. It also features over 650 QR codes for easy access to information. Furthermore, more than six interactive screens are available on-site to aid navigation, including accessible routes and facilities for persons with disabilities.

These initiatives are part of the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque's ongoing efforts to expand smart services, improve accessibility, and enhance visitor satisfaction.
