Industry Minister, Chinese Delegation Discuss Enhancing Saudi-China Industrial, Mining Relations

Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar bin Ibrahim AlKhorayef discussed with a visiting Chinese delegation today enhancing relations in the industry and mining sectors between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the People’s Republic of China.

Minister AlKhorayef received the delegation, headed by Wu Weidong, Member of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Hebei Provincial Standing Committee and Secretary of Tangshan Municipal Committee.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the industrial and mining sectors and highlighted their economic and commercial partnership in various sectors.

Moreover, the participants discussed attracting qualitative investments in the industrial and mining sectors and addressed the competitive advantages in the Kingdom and China with regard to a number of promising industries.

The two sides also discussed boosting trade exchange in non-oil goods, with the volume of Saudi non-oil exports to China amounting to over SAR 37 billion in 2022 and imports reaching over SAR 147 billion.
