The UNRWA Alumni Association in Gaza elects a new board of directors in a democratic atmosphere

Elections began this morning, Sunday morning, to choose a new board of directors for the UNRWA Alumni Association in Gaza, in a democratic and transparent atmosphere, in the presence of all members of the board of directors, members of the administrative bodies, and members of the General Secretariat of the Alumni Association, in the Rashad Al Shawa Cultural Hall, west of Gaza City.

Businessman Tamer Al-Wadiya won the majority in voting to manage the association’s council for this session, in which the members of the administrative council were chosen in the administrative elections this morning, amid an atmosphere of anticipation and waiting until the completion of the voting sessions of all members who voted to choose a new board of directors.

For his part, Tamer Al-Wadiya gave a speech to the audience, during which he expressed his happiness for this Palestinian democratic wedding. Which emphasizes the transparency and democracy of the electoral process in selecting the association’s board of directors.

Al-Wadiya appreciated all the efforts made in the success of this democratic event and said: “The majority of our thoughts and goals should always be occupied with developing the pillars of the nation and its young workers and urging them on the importance of work and the sanctity of employment to build a national economy through which we can confront the challenges and obstacles that our people are going through.”

Al-Wadiya welcomed all the efforts being made to serve our Palestinian people, especially graduates and students in universities and educational institutes in all their locations, stressing the work intellectually and culturally to advance graduates and prepare them to enter the labor market and face challenges on the one hand, and develop the wheel of the Palestinian economy on the one hand.
