Baghdad The United Nations Assistant Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs, Martin Griffiths, announced that the United Nations is conducting negotiations to send a second humanitarian aid convoy to the Gaza Strip today, Sunday.

Griffiths said: “We are currently negotiating this matter, and we may receive another convoy, perhaps a little larger, from 20 to 30 trucks.”

For his part, the head of the government media office in Gaza, Salama Marouf, confirmed that the aid convoy that entered on Saturday from the Rafah crossing into the Gaza Strip, consisting of 20 trucks, including trucks loaded with water and canned goods and some trucks of medicines and medical supplies, is much less than what the Gaza Strip needs in normal conditions. More than 500 trucks loaded with various needs entered the sector daily.
