Riyadh: The Local Organizing Committee for the AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027 has received the 2026 Gold Award from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA). The award, one of the world's most prestigious honors in health and safety, recognizes the committee's adherence to the highest standards in managing and organizing sporting tournaments and events.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the award was presented during a ceremony in London organized by RoSPA, a UK-based organization and a leading global authority on occupational health and safety.

The recognition follows a year in which the committee successfully managed several major football tournaments. These included the AFC U23 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2026, the AFC Champions League Elite Finals Jeddah 2026, and the AFC U17 Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2026, as well as the official draws for the AFC Asian Cup Saudi Arabia 2027 and the 27th Arabian Gulf Cup, "Khaleeji 27." The achievement highlights the committee's operational excellence across all stages of planning, organization, and execution. It also reflects the committee's dedication to making health and safety a fundamental pillar of successful event operations in line with internationally recognized best practices.
