The Department of Development and Sustainable Development at al-Abbas Holy Shrine announced the completion of its preparations to receive foreign visitors on the Arbaeen pilgrimage, through a procession dedicated to English-speaking visitors.
The Director of the Administrative Development Academy in the department, Redha Karim Al-Aboudi, said: “The department has completed its special preparations to receive foreign visitors on the Arbaeen pilgrimage, through a procession dedicated to English-speaking visitors.”
He added that “the procession will provide a set of basic services including food, comfort, and sleeping places, in addition to distinguished cultural services that include the presence of preachers and lectures presented by distinguished preachers of Al- Hawza, directed specifically to English-speaking visitors. Medical detachments will also be available in the procession to provide medical services to visitors.”
He explained that “the procession will include shows in English, embodying the Battle
of Karbala and the blessed Arbaeen visit through scenes, pictures and awareness videos, aiming to enhance foreign visitors’ understanding of this historical event from reliable sources. In addition, scientific and religious books in English will be distributed, covering topics related to the Arbaeen visit and the needs of visitors.” Al-Aboudi continued that “this procession reflects the keenness of the al-Abbas Holy Shrine to provide the best services to visitors from all over the world, in line with their cultural and linguistic needs in this million-person visit.”
