Al-Ahli Saudi FC Begins Title Defense in AFC Champions League Against Nasaf

Jeddah: Al-Ahli Saudi Football Club will begin its journey in the AFC Champions League Elite 2025-2026 tomorrow with a match against Uzbekistan’s Nasaf at Alinma Stadium – King Abdullah Sports City in Jeddah, at 9:15 p.m., in the tournament’s opening fixture.



According to Saudi Press Agency, Al-Ahli enters the match with high morale after clinching the title for the first time in its history four months ago, defeating Japan’s Kawasaki Frontale 2-0 in the final. This marks Al-Ahli’s 14th appearance in the competition, while Nasaf makes its seventh. The two sides have met four times previously, with Al-Ahli winning twice, drawing once, and Nasaf claiming one victory.



The match is expected to draw large crowds, as it represents an important start to Al-Ahli’s continental campaign, amid its fans’ hopes of continuing to write Asian football history and achieving further milestones.



Al-Ahli aims to secure the best possible result, boasting a distinguished lineup of international players, including goalkeeper Edouard Mendy; defenders Roger Iba±ez, Merih Demiral, and Ali Majrashi; midfielders Ziyad Al-Johani, Franck Kessi©, and Enzo Millot; and attackers Galeno, Riyad Mahrez, and Ivan Toney.
