The leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, called for reciting the prayers in homes and mosques in support of the Palestinian people.

A statement from his private office said: “According to the directives of His Eminence the Leader, Muqtada al-Sadr (may God bless him), it was decided to turn to supplication and prayers to God Almighty, with reassured hearts and humble souls, by reciting the supplication of (Ahl al-Thiqoor) by all believers after the sunset prayer in mosques, homes, and all places of worship. May God help those who He will help him. Indeed, God is All-Powerful, Mighty.
