Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani stressed the need for the international community and major countries, including Japan, to undertake efforts to stop the aggression in Gaza and prevent the continuation of the genocide facing the Palestinian people.
A statement by his media office said that Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani received today, Monday, the Japanese Ambassador to Iraq, Futoshi Matsumoto.
The meeting, according to the statement, reviewed the overall Iraqi-Japanese relations and ways to enhance and develop them in various fields, as Al-Sudani stressed that Iraq seeks to adopt fruitful diplomatic and economic relations with sisterly and friendly countries, in a way that serves the interests of both sides and sustainable development.
The Prime Minister referred to the situation in the region, developments in the Palestinian issue, and the aggression on Gaza, stressing the need for the international community and major countries, including Japan, to undertake efforts to stop the aggression
and prevent the continuation of the genocide facing our Palestinian people.
Al-Sudani explained the reality of the openness of the investment environment and the business sector in Iraq to productive partnerships with Japanese companies known for their sobriety, and the government’s support for cooperation with the Iraqi private sector, especially after the package of decisions and measures that were taken in the field of supporting the role of this sector and its contribution to the development renaissance and the construction of infrastructure and strategic projects.
