AlUla Summer Fruits Season Showcases Local Agricultural Heritage

Riyadh: The AlUla Summer Fruits Season, part of the Khayrat AlUla initiative, is set to take place from July 16 to 22, 2026, at the AlManshiyah Farmers' Market. This event is designed to highlight the range of AlUla's agricultural produce, support local farmers and families, and foster economic opportunities connected to seasonal crops.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the season will feature AlUla's summer fruit farms, with local farmers displaying crops such as figs, grapes, mangoes, and pomegranates. AlUla's annual production exceeds 4,900 tons of summer fruits, demonstrating the quality and the deep-rooted agricultural expertise of the community.

AlUla hosts over 7,000 farms, with more than 5,000 farmers maintaining agricultural production while imparting knowledge across generations. The governorate boasts over 216,000 summer fruit trees, integral to AlUla's agricultural diversity.

The AlManshiyah Farmers' Market offers a direct platform for farmers and productive families to engage with locals and visitors, thereby promoting homegrown produce and bolstering the economic value of seasonal crops. This support aids the sustainability of farms and productive families.

Visitors will encounter the wide variety of crops grown in AlUla Oasis, emphasizing their link to the area's agricultural heritage and cultural identity. The event reflects the enduring bond between the people, farming practices, and the land in AlUla.

As part of the Khayrat AlUla Seasons, the Royal Commission for AlUla organizes this event to empower farmers, boost agricultural output, and enhance the economic value of local crops, ensuring the long-term sustainability of the agricultural sector in AlUla.
