Director of the United States Agency for International Development, Samantha Power, confirmed to the Foreign Relations Committee in the Senate and House of Representatives that Israel has imposed “significant restrictions that have delayed the delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza.”

‘Despite Israel’s commitment to the United States, there are still significant problems with access,’ Power said.

She stressed that “humanitarian relief organizations supported by the United States will continue to work with UNRWA, despite the ban imposed by Congress on funding the organization.”
