Arafah Sermon Translated Into 35 Languages via ‘Manarat Al-Haramain’

Mecca: The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, in collaboration with the Presidency of Religious Affairs, has successfully translated this year's Arafah Day sermon into 35 international languages. This initiative is a part of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Project for Translating the Arafah Sermon, with the aim of conveying its message to Muslims globally in their native languages.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the translated sermon was broadcast live via the "Manarat Al-Haramain" platform and the authority's official YouTube page. Additionally, it was accessible through the "Tawakkalna" app, the presidency's official website, and YouTube channel, allowing Muslims worldwide to follow the sermon conveniently. Digital screens displayed multilingual guidance messages to assist in accessing the translated sermon and directed pilgrims to digital platforms offering live streams in multiple languages, as part of broader efforts to enhance the service's reach.

A dedicated team of 86 staff members was involved in executing this initiative. Their responsibilities included guidance, direction, simultaneous interpretation, and conducting orientation tours to ensure an optimal experience for pilgrims. Additional teams distributed information cards at the Grand Mosque and Namirah Mosque to disseminate the sermon's content and facilitate access.

These efforts are part of an extensive array of advanced technological and media services undertaken by the authority. This includes simultaneous interpretation, multilingual broadcasting, and media production, all geared towards enriching the overall experience of pilgrims.
