Riyadh: Assistant Speaker of the Shura Council Dr. Hanan bint Abdulrrahim Al-Ahmadi met with Chair of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the European Parliament David McAllister and his accompanying delegation.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Dr. Al-Ahmadi highlighted the excellent relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the European Union. She emphasized the significance of strengthening ties between the Shura Council and the European Parliament to serve common interests, noting the role of parliamentary diplomacy in promoting mutual understanding.

Dr. Al-Ahmadi also discussed the essential role of parliamentarians in developing bilateral relations, highlighting the Shura Council's legislative, oversight, and parliamentary functions. She commended the Kingdom's progress across various indicators and fields as it strives to achieve the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

The meeting addressed topics of mutual interest and explored ways to enhance parliamentary relations between the Shura Council and the European Parliament across different sectors. Both sides stressed the importance of continuing bilateral meetings to foster further collaboration.
