‘Basta Khair Saudi Arabia 2026’ Community Initiative Empowers Street Vendors in Al-Ahsa

Alahsa: Alahsa Municipality continues to support and empower street vendors under the 'Basta Khair Saudi Arabia 2026' initiative in its second season. The initiative runs until the end of Ramadan in Al-Hofuf.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Al-Ahsa Mayor Eng. Essam Al-Mulla stated that the initiative aligns with the efforts of the Street Vendors Support, Development and Empowerment Team at the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing. The initiative aims to regulate street vending, empower vendors, and allocate dedicated sales locations. These measures help improve professional practices and the quality of life across the Kingdom.

Al-Mulla further explained that the second edition emphasizes organizing sales sites under clear requirements and unified operational standards. This approach is designed to raise compliance levels and enhance safety for both vendors and visitors. Field teams are actively monitoring the sites to ensure adherence to regulatory and health requirements.

The initiative also aims to strengthen the civilized image of licensed stalls. It provides an organized model that reflects cities' identities and contributes to the overall improvement of the urban scene.
