Brunei Darussalam Calls on Security Council to Fulfill its Obligations and End Palestinian Suffering

Riyadh, The Second Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Brunei Darussalam, Dato Erywan Yusof, who represents the Sultan of Brunei, has urged the occupying authority to stop the firing and the inhumane bombing of civilians in Gaza. He called for the entry of all humanitarian aid and stressed the importance of fulfilling obligations under international law, United Nations charters, and relevant United Nations resolutions.

During the Joint Arab Islamic Extraordinary Summit in Riyadh, the Second Minister spoke about the urgent need for the United Nations Security Council to fulfill its obligations to promote international security and stability and put an end to the suffering of the Palestinian people. He emphasized the importance of taking action to stop the destruction of their lives and communities.

He said Brunei Darussalam reiterates its support for the Palestinian cause, including the right to self-determination, a two-state solution, and establishing an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
